Pip and the Doctor-

Percentile stats for those who tally-
head - 40th (roughly)
Length- 70th (if memory serves me correct)
Weight- 70th (this one I'm pretty sure about)

Dr. K has a new star patient. Pip was alert and cordial during the whole exam. Even the shots only caused a slight uproar. Tua found herself the fastest way to the doctor's handbag and rumaged through it looking for something to satisfy her cravings. She finally settled on a handsome reflex hammer and began testing the deep tendon reflexes of anyone who wasn't paying attention.

The Late Edition

Once a week, Bug makes the trip to the Park to catch up with colleagues and material. Routine as of late is to bring Tua and Pip along for the ride. Tua has accompanied her mother on her weekly journey to work since she was old enough to ride and has always been a hit. Pippa is gaining similar repute at an astonishing rate- perhaps its her wit. Yesterday, Susanne (an old friend and co-worker of Bugs) was in town for a short while visiting from her new post at Grand Teton NP. The girls braved the blizzard conditions and trekked in for a reunion of sorts. Here they are with Susanne holding Pip. Liesbeth (Tua's favorite park personality) in on the right.

Pippa with a cool new plate from aunt Cydil.....just don;t tell Pip that Tua has been using it.

A wakeful Pip. This shot was taken at 2:45 am. She was the only one who looked good enough to have a photo taken at this hour.

Saturday was the semi annual trip to IKEA. We decided to make the trip extra special and take the girls to see Seth's grandparents. It was one of those banner days for both Tua and Pippa. Both slept the whole way there and back. They both kept their hands to themselves (for the most part) through the whole of planet IKEA; and both were in the best of spirits for the entire visit with their great-grandparents'.

Leno with Pip. They got on very well.

New Womb

Yesterday at around 9am, the UPS truck made an unscheduled stop just outside our house. You see, UPS almost never drops packages in the winter. The road is nearly impassable to trucks. Our packages are usually dropped at the country store at the bottom of the hill along with every other package deemed impossible to deliver. Fortunatly for Pippa, this particular truck and ,more importantly, its contents, made the hill.
The box contained a cradle swing. In summary, this is a contraption that gives Pippa the power to rock herself to sleep. It is the closest thing I've seen to applied perpetual motion and she is thrilled with the results. So are we. It has been referred to in jest as 'the new womb' because of its ability to mimic serenity.
Pippa would like to thank her thoughtful relatives in Colorado Springs for the surprise gift.
