Trips

This is Bug, here. Seth's been very busy doing projects around the house so I thought I would add some pictures of what we have been doing lately. First, We have a picture of Tua with our good friend Ashley. We were able to visit with her for the afternoon while on our family reunion trip to Indiana. There are some pictures on my sister's blog (Waggoner) of our time with family, but we will try to load some as they become available. The next two are of an outing of young mothers with their daughters hiking on Mt. Tom, where I work for the NPS. Tua has fun chatting with all her pals and it is nice for me to get out and see the park since I now work from home.

stopping to eat the daisys

Tuey and I were walking yesterday when she spied an array of daisies growing beside the road. After touching several, she finally picked one (roots and all) and held it to her nose. From what little I gathered, it must have smelled good enough to eat.

Sadly, the flavor appeared to be a bit of a disappointment.

The Haircut

These photos are from a week ago. Tua's aunt, Nadine had the patience and the necessary tools for the first haircut. Tua really didn't shift much from the stance you see her in- courtesy of the
almighty television just out of sight. Tua's cousin Pacal looks on.

Pancakes

This week, Tua has had the pleasure of the company of her cousin Pascal, on holiday from Tennessee with his parents. As he is five months her senior, he much more tuned into the ways of the wide world than Tua, who has, for lack of a better desciptive, been following him around like the tail of a dog. She's amazed by his tact and has picked up quite a few tips just in watching. She has learned how to descend a staircase with regard to safety; she has improved on her spoon/mouth skills; and we think that today, she picked up the word "please".... but maybe I'm just imagining things again. Here they are yesterday swapping tales as they dig in at the Shaw's legendary July 4th pancake feast.
