busy bee

Tua has been busier than ever before. She is non-stop, although I think I have mentioned this before...here are some pictures of a typical day now:

I caught her trying to make a phone call from an old phone in a cabinet

Play-date

Today Tua and I went to Woodstock to run some errands and meet Tua's friend, Addison, for a date on the swings. Addison is 4 days younger than Tua and has just as much energy. She also knows how to smile big for cameras and share her toys. Tua was not much of a smiler and took to the swings with a heavy ounce of indifference.

The Checklist

Tua is checking things off her list of "to do's". First it was cereal, now it is climbing up the stairs. She has only had a few days of practice but now can go without stopping. Now whenever she is tooling around in the kitchen and gets bored, she heads straight for the stairs. She also has two teeth, which don't seem to be of any interest to her. Thankfully she hasn't lost any sleep over them and is ready for the next hurdle, walking. I'm afraid she is going to be walking by the time we visit Illinois next month. We will add some pictures of stair-climbing tonight.

Fathers and Daughters

We spent the evening at the Deitrich's home and were able to take a few pictures of Tua and her friend, Phare. Here are the fathers with their daughters.

Thinning

The hair came off today. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. Tua finds the new hair difficult to adjust to. When I got down from the barbers stool, she looked at me as if I might have been a complete stranger. We're currently addressing this issue.

A Recalcitrant Feast

Tua met real food today. At 5:35 EST, Bug and I whipped up some infant cream of wheat concoction, placed it on the sparcely laid table and sat our daughter down in front of it. The reaction was a type of bridled indifference. She was not really all that wound up about having to sit at a table while a cold, pastey substance was shoveled into her mouth. Her favorite parts of the evenings events were as follows:

1- getting to hold a spoon

and

2- getting to put her feet up on the table while she ate

Hair Today

Seth's head of hair has finally reached the length required for donation. This means that Seth is getting his hair cut. It was supposed to happen last weekend, but Seth, as he usually does, failed to call ahead to make sure that the barber was, in fact open. No worries. One week lost translates to .25 inches in hair growth. All the more wigs to be made. The appointment is Tuesday. Or maybe its Wednesday. There will be pictures, and maybe a few clips (no pun intended).
