Tua has been much more confident now that she can stand up. We come in to her room to find her in this pose, sometimes happy, sometimes crying. We are now teaching her to bend her knees so we don't always have to rescue her from her new activity. We will see how that goes. Any one have any other suggestions?Tuesday, August 14, 2007

Ellie's PT has us put pillows behind Ellie while she stood and had Ellie practice falling into a 'sit' on the stack of pillows. Eventually we removed a pillow at a time so she was falling lower and lower and got used to falling on her bottom. (I think I'm remembering that correctly).
Thanks! We will try that. She is already starting to let go of the rails if she is interested in something else, so perhaps this is a passing phase.
